In order to allow filters to work differently depending on the web site being visited, the filtering system supports multiple filter configurations. The Filter Manager maintains different configuration settings that can be used to suit the filtering needs for particular web sites. For example, users may want to allow cookies for some sites but not others. The Filter Manager can map web site URL patterns to filter configurations and use the corresponding filter configuration to filter that particular web site.
