Privacy

What one user may consider to be an invasion of privacy, another user may consider a matter of convenience. For example, a web server might recognize a user and display a customized page based on information gathered from a previous visit. This can be compared to returning to a local grocery store and finding a shopping cart already filled with previously purchased items. Such service can be very convenient, but users (or customers) should be able to choose whether or not the service is provided.
